Fitness Friday: Becoming a 6am Workout Person

NEWSFLASH - I'm Back on the Mic! 🎤

Hey beautiful humans! I have some incredibly exciting news to share with you all - I'm officially a Pvolve Trainer!

I'm honestly pinching myself because I'm so honored, thrilled, excited, and proud to continue my Personal Evolution with this incredible method. And here's the kicker - I'm diving headfirst into becoming a 6am workout person by teaching Friday morning classes (plus Monday evenings) in Carlsbad!

After Pvolve in the locker room - a few weeks before I started training to be a Trainer!

My Fitness Journey: A Love Letter to Movement

Let me take you on a little trip down memory lane. My love affair with movement started when I was just 3 years old, watching my 4-year-old cousin's ballet class at Georgia Ballet. I was absolutely hooked from that very first plié.

Most of my childhood was spent in dance studios - learning from my Russian ballet teacher, perfecting jazz and hip hop routines, competing around the Southeast, and eventually becoming Captain and choreographer for my Kappa Delta sorority's Greek grind team in college. Dance taught me discipline, artistry, and the pure joy of moving my body.

But it wasn't just dance that shaped my fitness DNA. My mom was (and still is) my ultimate fitness influence. She'd take us three kids to the gym where we'd play in the kids' center while she got her workout in and enjoyed some kid-free time to actually blow-dry her hair. She ran road races around Atlanta, introduced me to P90X home workouts, and at 67, she still hikes every single day. Talk about #MomGoals!

Freshman year of high school brought my first taste of serious strength training in Women's Weight Training class. As a lacrosse player, I found myself in the weight room with my friends on the soccer and softball teams, learning to bench press and lift heavier than I ever imagined possible at 14. That feeling of being strong? I was completely addicted.

College meant Body Pump, spin, Zumba, and yoga with my sorority sisters at UGA's campus gym. Seattle was where my girlfriends and I bonded over spin classes, CrossFit, and yoga - sweating together became our primary way to socialize (besides hitting up concerts, obviously).

Barre and hot yoga became my staples, eventually leading me to pursue barre and yoga teacher training certifications. But then, the week of Thanksgiving 2024, I discovered Pvolve - and I became completely obsessed.

Why Pvolve Has My Heart (and My 5am Alarm Clock)

Here's what makes Pvolve so revolutionary: it's functional training that mimics how we move in real life. We're talking sit-to-stand movements, lifting, rotating - all with impeccable form that strengthens and supports your everyday activities.

Every movement is about mindful engagement - controlled, intentional muscle activation that builds incredible body awareness. We move in every possible angle to increase your range of motion and improve overall mobility, especially in those common trouble spots like hips, spine, and shoulders.

The progressive approach means we warm your body thoughtfully and build systematically. Everything is intentional, which not only prevents injury but ensures you're getting the most out of every single movement.

What really gets me excited is the three-dimensional strength building. We're not just working large muscle groups - we're firing up those smaller stabilizers so your entire body works in perfect harmony. The mobility work reduces tightness and creates greater movement potential, while the stability component engages your deep core and intrinsic muscles for better balance and quicker reflexes.

And here's something special - no two classes are ever the same. With unique equipment combinations and movement patterns, your body will never plateau. Plus, this method is science-backed with clinical trials proving it increases strength, mobility, stability, lean muscle, and overall enjoyment of exercise.

The 6am Challenge: My Personal Evolution

Taking on this 6am schedule is honestly as much for me as it is for my future clients. I want to be a 6am workout person, and being the trainer leading the class? That's my ultimate accountability method.

There's something magical about starting your day by moving your body with intention. It sets the tone for everything that follows - more energy, better mood, clearer thinking, and that incredible sense of accomplishment before most people have even hit snooze.

Join Me on This Journey

If you're in the Carlsbad area, I'd love to see you in class! I'll be teaching:

  • Friday mornings at 6:00am & 7:30am (because we're doing this thing!)

  • Monday evenings 6:00pm (for those who prefer their sweat sesh after work)

Whether you're a fellow early bird or just curious about functional fitness, come experience what makes Pvolve so transformative. Let's build strength, improve mobility, and have some fun while we're at it.

Here's to movement, evolution, and maybe even becoming morning people together.

With love and 6am energy,

Madelyn ✨
